FRESH AND UNIQUE...INTERVIEW

He is the 36th in the world. That number means he is one of those models able to develop and make everything and also a favorite one for designers, photographers... into the fashion industry. He is from Denmark and as you can see on the main picture, his name is Malthe Lund Madsen.

Blonde/brown, penetrating gaze and friendly are words which describes a bit about how is him but they are just words. Since he started as model not a long time ago, just months, he has been capable to conquering some Fashion Weeks, and I wanna show you some pics before you know more about Malthe

Zegna, Calvin Klein, Robert Geller...are only examples of shows.

sBt-How is for you be a model? Tell me exactly the ideas and thought you have in mind just reading the question!

MLM- Oh it's great. Being a male model, you're the envy of teenagers and un-rated porn for gay men, all at once. I'm grateful to both segments, of course.

sBt- You are model since not much time ago, maybe less than a year no? and your first campaign was for Versace. Tell me.. How was and how you felt during the shooting?

MLM- That's correct. I first started travelling in October and I haven't really been home since. Versace, um... I have this thing where I tend to keep eating until I get a heart-attack... And only after I had eaten tons of food on set, I realised I had to be shirtless for the rest of the day, trying to look as muscley as possible. I'm extremely grateful to Mario's retoucher boys for making me look that fit.

sBt- Before speak more about your career, tell me. How were your beginning in the industry? When you started to be a model?

MLM- I always get asked this question, but the truth is, no one started out their careers in an amazing way. So let's just say my parents paid off the global advertising industry to manipulate people into thinking I look good.

sBt- Did you thought the fashion industry was the same like you are living or...?

MLM- I can honestly say, prior to being a model I never thought about what the fashion industry was like.

sBt- Vogue Hommes Japan, V Man, Dansk, Hero magazine...Which was the most special for you and why?

MLM- I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes because I've really enjoyed working with all the very lovely people I've worked with. But deep down, I'm a sucker for anything underground and I've definitely had my best shoots with my friend David Richardson. He's so endlessly enthusiastic about his work, and he never considers if what he does will do well commercially, or if people will like it. He's just utterly authentic, and if he doesn't give it a rest soon, I think the risks he runs in his pursuit of the perfect picture just might get him killed.

sBt- A lot of models are dreaming to working with Mario Testino and you had the chance. How was? I know he is so friendly but I don't know Mario while he is working!

MLM- Mario is a dude. He's really nice. Needless to say, it's been a huge honour working with him, considering his influence and catalogue. Much like Kate Moss, he's a business - there's Mario the brand, and Mario the person. I've got immense respect for him and he's one of the nicest people I've met in the industry. It's interesting working with such a big name photographer one day, and a much smaller, up-and-coming name the next. It's almost like Mario is the founder who's created the base for all this young talent.

sBt- As model, What is the most important for you? Traveling, people, discover awesome locations? and What do you want to get?

MLM- As a model, it's important to me to exfoliate-rinse-and-moisturize and live life troublefree. I don't like to plan ahead and I don't expect anything from anybody. I like balsamic vinegar shakes, and I appreciate fantastic moments created by coincidence. So no plans to speak of.

sBt- You have done a lot of shows too for example CK or Y-3. What do you like more? Shootings or Shows? and why?

MLM- Neither is particularly amusing. People seem to think it must be a lot of fun standing up straight for a really long time, sweating like crazy because it's summer and you're wearing winter's clothes. Observe: it's not. But of course some things are more fun than others, such as seeing how short and chubby my younger sister's big idol Zac Efron was backstage at the Calvin Klein Collection show.

sBt- To finish.. What plans or project do you have right now? Maybe Milan & Paris FW editorials... Tell me something that make you feel excited and happy!

MLM- Dinitrogenoxid makes me happy. I'm currently holidaying in Denmark with family and friends. I'm planning on staying in holiday mode until I receive a call from someone telling me they'd like to shove a gold bar up my arse if I'll fly to Paris, Milan or wherever they want me. Alternatively, I'm considering going to London for some house-squadding with my best friend. Only time will tell.

What are you thinking about him? In my opinion he is very interesting and different in some dots and ideas, no?

As I speak with Malthe on the interview, he made the campaign for Versace s/s 2011 with Abbey Lee and Viktor Nylander. That campaign is awesome and the simple lines and style are full of glamour.

He has worked for some of my favorite magazines and all the editorial are STUNNING

The first one that I wanna show you is the shooting for Hero magazine. I'm in love with the Givenchy shirt!

L'officiel Homme is another of my favorite jobs by Malthe. The posting and clothes are awesome, also the locations

The editorials of Vogue Hommes Japan are always very cool, and the main picture is from one of those editorial called What's the manga? .The vision of VHJ always is different, and very special for me.

Hola a todos! :) Bueno, os voy a traducir la entrevista vale? El resto son imágenes principalmente y lo más interesante es lo que el dice!

sBt-¿Como es para ti ser modelo? Dime exactamente las ideas y pensamientos que tienes en la cabeza cuando lees esta pregunta.

MLM- Es genial. Ser modelo masculino.. eres la envidia de los adolescentes y un porno para gays sin calificación.. todo a la vez. Estoy agradecido por ambos segmentos, por supuesto.

sBt- Tu eres modelo desde no hace mucho, quizás menos de 1 año no? Tu primera campaña ha sido Versace. Cuentame...¿Como fue y como te sentiste durante el sesión?

MLM-Es correcto. Empece viajando en octubre y no estoy en casa desde entonces. Versace, umm... Tengo el recuerdo de que tendía a estar comiendo hasta que me dio un ataque al corazón... Sólo después de haber comido toneladas de comida en el set, me di cuenta que tenía que estar todo el día sin camiseta pareciendo lo más musculoso posible. Estoy tremendamente agradecido a los ayudantes de Mario por hacerme ver así.

sBt-Antes de hablar mas de tu carrera, cuentame. ¿Como empezaste en la industria? ¿Cuando comenzaste a ser modelo?

MLM- Siempre me hacen esta pregunta, pero la verdad es, nadie empieza su carrera de una forma fabulosa. Diré que mis padres pagaron fuera de la industria de la publicidad mundial para que pensasen que valgo.

sBt-¿Pensaste que la moda era como tu las estas viviendo?

MLM- Puedo ser honesto y decir, antes de ser modelo nunca pensé sobre como era la industria de la moda.

sBt-Vogue Hommes Japan, Vman, Dansk, Hero magazine.. ¿Cual fue la mas especial para ti y por que?

MLM-No me gustaría dejar por debajo a nadie ya que disfrute realmente con todos ellos durante el trabajo. Gente maravillosa y estupenda. Pero profundizando soy un tonto de los underground y he tenido mis mejores momentos con mi amigo David Richardson.

El tiene un sin fin de ilusión en su trabajo y nunca piensa si lo que hace va a ser comercial o no o si a la gente le va a gustar. El solo es auténtico y si no hace un descanso pronto, creo que la batalla por conseguir la imagen perfecta le matará pronto.

sBt- Muchos modelos sueñan con trabajar con Mario Testino y tu tuviste la oportunidad. ¿Como fue? Yo se que el es muy simpático, pero a la hora del trabajo, no le conozco.

MLM- Mario es genial, realmente fantástico. Es innecesario decir que fue un honor trabajar con el considerando su influencia y relevancia. Al igual que Kate Moss el es un negocio está Mario la marca y Mario la persona. tengo un inmenso respeto por el y es una de las personas mas simpáticas que he conocido en esta industria. Es interesante trabajar con un fotógrafo de renombre como el. EL aparte es el fundador de la base para todos esos jóvenes talentos.

sBt- Como modelo,¿Que es lo más importante para ti? Viajar, la gente, descubrir increíbles lugares? ¿Y que te gustaría conseguir?

MLM- Como modelo es importante para mi exfoliar, aclarar e hidratar y vivir la vida sin problemas. No me gusta planear nada y tener una expectativa de nadie. Me encantan los batidos de vinagre balsámico y disfrutar de los momentos que ocurren por coincidencia.

sBt- Has hehco mucho desfiles como el de CK o Y-3¿Que prefieres? Desfiles o sesiones de fotos?

MLM-Ninguna es particularmente divertida.La gente parece pensar que es muy divertido estar depie durante mucho tiempo, sudando muchísimo por que es verano y tu llevas ropa de invierno. Observa: NO Pero por supuesto, muchas cosas son divertida más que otras como ver el gran ídolo de mi pequeña y regordeta hermana pequeña Zac Efron estaba en el backstage de Calvin Klein.

sBt- Para terminar..¿Que planes o proyectos tienes en mente ahora mismo? Quizás Milan y Paris FW, editoriales? Dime

MLM- El nitróxido me hace feliz. Actualmente estoy de vacaciones en Dinamarca con amigos y mi familia. Estoy pensando seguir de vacaciones hasta que alguien me llame y me diga que le gustaría deslizar una barra de oro en el culo si vuelo a Paris, Milan o cualquier sitio que me quieran. Por otra parte, estoy considerando ir a Londres para alguna house-squadding con mi mejor amigo. Sólo el tiempo dirá.
