FABRICS, COLORS AND A LOT IMAGINATION

I'm impacted with the new designers who have born during these last 3 years and of course those from Central Saint Martins are my favorites.
Recently graduated from the MA womenswear at Central Saint Martins, captured my attention when I saw the graduate collection and the LookBook.

Photobucket

His name is Kerhao Yin and he is based in London, one of my favorites cities around the world!
The structures, shapes, colors, fabrics.. everything is in a perfect combination and full of energy trough electric colors and a positivism way on the garments.

Look at the heels, how amazing is the fluor detail on it? I think is fabulous, what about you?
I have to say, the illustration and design go hand in hand for Kerhao and the technique he develops was refined at Chloé and also Vanessa Bruno, both brands are very important in Paris and also they are full of glamour.

Photobucket

Volume on waist like a ballon, big structures on shoulders...I think it's a perfect collection for next f/w and your closet will be happy with, for example, THAT SKIRT!

Speaking about f/w 2011-12 I wanna highlight the preview from Louis Vuitton campaign for that season. I think the preview is very Paris with brushes of Russia and of course full of glamour from 60's-70's with those cars, hats, gloves...

Photobucket

Daphne Groeneveld is one of my favorite models and she starring the campaign with Zuzana or Gertrud Hegelund. Of course all the people have as reference de Vuitton bags, and for that Marc Jacobs wants highlight and enlarge the big size bag for another size bigger than the size established right now.

He is maybe, one of my favorites designer right now, and also I think he is expanding the new era in Fashion. Of course, he is Nicola Formichetti who is gonna have his own Pop up Store from 1st sept to 14th in NY. Like Nicola's says via Twitter the store will have four spaces divided in nature, minimal space, digital space and also something punk/rock/baroque.
I think is gonna be the best Pop up store you have ever seen before and I wish be there for visit it.
Take a look to the video

I'm excited with the idea and also, I need see the new Mugler collection for men next June in Paris!!

Another special and different designer who has developed a fabulous shooting with Showstudio ( 23-24 may) Live! trough the website is Walter Van Beirendonck.
I went last summer to his show and I have to confess it was amazing!!!!!!!! Love the vision, pants, t-shirts...Here are some pics from the shooting.

What do you think about Walter? How amazing is that t-shirt? haha
If you want to know more about him, just click on the next link and enjoy!

To finish, I just have to say one word and I'm sure you don't need anything more.. PRADA..
I saw these fab shoots few weeks ago and I remember love the way and the style from each person who made a piece of the composition.

Which is your favorite? I have to be honest.. not is possible for me choose one.. all of them are a little piece of ART with those awesome sunnies for s/s 2011.

Let me know about everything? What do you think about Kerhao? And LV, Walter, Nicola?

Tell me friends! I wanna know your opinion!

How is going the week? Hope very good!

THANKS!

xx

Nicola, Walter?

¿Como va la semana? Todo bien!?

GRACIAS!

Besos!

David Martin

  109. Hi David! I really like the Kerhao fluo hills, but I'm not so convinced for the dresses. They look too voluminous for me. So that even the LV campaign dresses are not so glamourous, there's too much volume in those shapes, but I like the little gloves!
I hope you can join the Formichetti Store in September, especially cause you have to take all the pictures you can, I'm so curious to see it! I like him, i will never dress something in that style, but I like to watch it. And I admire his inventions for Gaga.
