GOD SAVE THE BRITISH MODELS LIKE....INTERVIEW

From UK, blue eyes and funny... He is Tom Lander. One of those models capable of dazzling all the shootings and campaigns and also conquering the runways.

Tom has needed only one year to become one of UK's models with most future in the industry.

Yes, I know you want discover more and more about him.. so, here is he and here is his life as model...

sBt- How did you start as model? Tell me

TL-I was scouted at the Birmingham Clothes Show in December 09 but only started in February on Valentines weekend where my debut in the industry was Arena Homme Plus with the photographer Alasdair Mclellan

sBt- When you are in a Photoshoot or in a Fashion Week..What are you doing at the Backstage? Having a coffe, reading, eating.... or are you all the time going to other places and with other models to have a good time?

TL-At Photoshoots and during the Shows in Milan and Paris, backstage i would tend to be with all the other models messing around and having a laugh with everyone invovled making a fun and happy atmosphere

sBt-Before you became a model.. What did you wanted to do with your life? What are you thinking about doing in the future?

TL-Before I was a Model, I was training to be a Chef in a restraunt in my local town Wigan, that was my ideal career choice because I love cooking and the satisfaction of completing 12 hour shifts in the kitchen without fault is a great feeling

sBt-Meeting interesting people is one of the best things of being a model... Have you made friends?Generally all the people in the industry are great and you can enjoy with them but Do you have any the experiences with a models who only wanted to have more work than everybody else and was a little bit stupid?

TL-Along the way I have met some really nice, friendly people who I have become great friends with and shared amazing times with them, whether it was during work or on nights out etc. It has been very rare to meet someone in the industry who I did not get along with, but in such an intense industry there has been the odd arguement, but nothing too serious so all good :)

sBt- During your career as a model... with who do you want to work?

TL-Previously i have worked with great Photographers and Stylists in:

Alasdair Mclellan - Photographer

Jane How - Stylist

Mariano Vivanco - Photographer

Nicola Formachetti - Stylist

Kai Z Feng - Photographer

Stevie Westgarth - Stylist

All fantastic people and amazing at their jobs, people who i would love to work with again and again. I would also love to work with Mario Testino who is such a prestegious name in the industry and his work is incredible.

sBt- Your favorite job or in which you have had the best experience so far..

TL- My best job for me, was Vogue Homme Japan which was shot in New York with Mariano Vivanco and styled by Nicola Formachetti. I had the most amazing time as I love New York for a start and everyone there including the other male models who now I am still very good friends with are amazing people.

sBt-To finish... Do you have some future projects which make you feel excited?

TL-My future projects which I am excited about are the Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris in January so hopefully I can do well over there for my second season, then hopefully land some very exciting jobs along the way!

You have to pay attention to Tom's last answer Milan and Paris fashion shows. If you look at the pictures I have put among the interview, you can check two shows paraded by Tom in Milan.. one of them is Alexander McQueen.

Also he did more shows and I remember his casting at D&G spiga2 store for Hercules mag.

The editorials that Tom has on his portfolio are very very cool. One of my favorite editos is these for Dazed & Confused Japan magazine. In my opinion.. AWESOME SHOTS!

One of my favorite magazines.. Vogue Hommes Japan, was for mr Lander the best work and in my opinion Formichetti is over all the locations, garments and vision.. LOVE THIS PIC!

De UK, ojos azules y divertido.. El es Tom Lander. Uno de esos modelos capaces de deslumbrar en todos los shootings, campañas y conquistar las pasarelas.

Tan solo un año ha necesitado para ser uno de esos modelos de Uk con mucho futuro en la industria. Si, ya se que quieres descubrir más y más sobre el...Aquí está el y su vida de modelo...

sBt-¿ Como empezaste a ser modelo? Cuentame...

TL- Fuí descubierto en un show de ropa en Birmingham en diciembre del 2009 pero empecé en febrero en la semana de San Valentín donde comencé en la industria con Arena Homme con el fotógrafo Alasdair Mclellan

sBt-Cuando estas en una sesión o una semana de la moda...¿ Que andas haciendo en el Backstage? Tomar un café, leer. comer o estás de arriba para abajo con otros modelos haciendo el loco?

TL- En las sesiones de fotos y durante los desfiles en Milan y Paris, en el backstage estoy con el resto de modelos teniendo momentos de risa y creando entre todos una atmosfera de buen rollo.

sBt- Antes de ser modelo..¿ Que quería hacer? ¿ Piensas hacerlo en el futuro?

TL- Antes de ser modelo, me prepare para ser un chef de restaurante en un local de Wigan.. eso fue mi carrera ideal y oportunidad ya que me encanta cocinar y es una satisfacción para my estar 12 horas haciendo delicias.

sBt- Conocer gente interesante es una de las mejores cosas de ser modelo.. ¿ has hecho amigos? Generalmente la gente de la industria es genial y puedes disfrutar con todos ellos pero alguna vez te has topado con alguno que solo busque más y más y sea algo estúpido?

TL- A lo largo de mi carrera he conocido a muchisima gente y sobre todo, estupenda y amigable. Muchos son amigos y comparto geniales momentos con ellos cuando estamos trabajando, por la noche en pubs.. Sería muy extraño el no conocer a alguien en la industria con el que no tengas roces, es una industria muy intensa con algunas rendijas, pero nada muy serio :D

sBt- Durante tu carrera como modelo.. con quien quieres trabajar?

TL- Antes de nada, he trabajado con geniales fotógrafos y estilistas como Alasdair McLellan, Jane How, Nariano Vivanco. Nicola Formichetti.. y toda la gente que esta´n en los trabajos que son fantásticos!

Me gustaría trabajar con ellos una y otra vez. Me gustaría trabajar con Mario Testino que es muy prestigioso en la industria y su trabajo es impresionante.

sBt- Tu trabajo favoritos o en el que hayas tenido la mejor experiencia..

TL- Mi mejor trabajo fue para Vogue Homme Japan fotografiado en NY con Mariano Vivanco y como estilista Nicola Formichetti. Tuve el mejor momento y ademas amo NY para empezar y además hubo más modelos que son grandes amigos y gente genial.

sBt- Para terminar.. ¿ Tienes muchos proyectos de futuro que te den mucha ilusión?

TL-Mis proyectos futuros que me generan ilusión son las semanas de la moda de Milan y Paris que espero sean buenas para mi ya que es mi segunda temporada allí y despues espero tener muchos trabajos en adelante!!
