From Denmark and as one of the most important designers of this amazing country, David Andersen is giving us a different vision about fashion for MEN and this year, again also for WOMEN.

Since 2007, when he started to develop his own brand DAVID ANDERSEN Denmark, he has always kept surprising everybody with his shows and presentations.

His creations and last collection for a/w 2010 is simply amazing.

sBt-You graduated at Glasgow School of Art in 2003 and you were awarded Best Costume Designer in 2004... What did you feel when you recived the award?

DA- I felt happy and overwhelmed. It was the beginning of my career, so it meant a lot. When you do a job that others choose to reward its expression, is fantastic.

sBt- You live in Copenhagen and develop your work there too... What does this city have to inspire you and your creations?

DA- I get very inspired by people, especially of musicians. In my circle, there are several very talented Danish musicians who all have something very special. They inspire me every much. Then I travel a lot, especially to Hong Kong ......... but mostly it's people and their personal expressions that inspire me rather than places.

sBt- I think you are a lover of architecture, music... Which inspirations can you take of them?

DA- Musicians have a huge passion for what they do and they are very personal in their expression. When they write a song, it is often in one or the other way taken from their own lives, which I think you have to have great respect for, as they are in some way, often exposing themselves, through their work.

Musicians play a role where they must be creative and I absolutely love that they can do that. In one way or another I find myself in a different role when I design. Architecture for me is just fantastic and hugely exciting. I can spend hours studying buildings, and their details.

sBt-Your parades are awesome and different, for example when girls modeling with menswear collection, while making a stunning performance... Do you think it is important to create a different environment and transport the people watching it to another world even if it only lasts 20 mins?

DA-I think it's important to create a universe where people feel seduced. Whether it is negative or positive. Of course it is important in terms of sales, that people like the design but as an artist, it is very important that people take a position on what they see. So I think a lot about how I show my product and how I can best get people to think.

sBt- I see brocades, Metal pins in Jackets, leather jackets and jumpsuits, Vests, transparent gloves at your AW10 collection, Can you tell me why these materials, what you searching with this collection, what you wanna express? I think it´s amazing,I love all the clothes.

DA- It was important for me in the collection to show independence. That you would not need to depend on others. Emphasize the masculine, mixed with the feminine. At the same idea of mixing fabrics, and think small and simple details into the collection in a repetitive manner.

sBt- Are you thinking about introducing your fantastic work in another fashion weeks different other than Copenhagen´s? Maybe at Paris or Milan on their Mens fashion week?

DA- I'm present at both Paris and Berlin fashion weeks, and have been the last couple seasons.

sBt-And the last question, Are you working at your next collection? Can you tell me something about it.. a little bit? :)

DA- The new collection is already finished. I can say that it is very beautiful. It is black and the girls will be on the runway again :-)

As the tittle says, Black and White is something real important for David Andersen. As you can read in the last question, the next collection is beautiful and in Black, where women will be conquering the catwalk once again.

The collection which i talked about with David in the interview is the a/w 2010. It is probably one of my favourite collections for men in the 2010. Where guys acquire an other status in fashion.

The collection for 2009 was dark and with a bit of mystery. The black wins again the war against the colors. The night is his best friend.

Another brilliant face in the David Andersen Denmark brand, are the couture gowns, specially and beautifully designed.

Gorgeous dresses and suits give a special glamour for those wearing them. Paris Hilton is one of these persons. She loves David Andersen work.

De Dinamarca y como uno de los diseñadores más importantes de ese maravilloso país, David Andersen, nos da una visión diferente de la moda para hombres y este año, de nuevo, para la mujer.

Desde 2007, cuando empezó a desarollar su propia marca David Andersen Denmark siempre ha sorprendido a todos los que fueron a sus desfiles y presentaciones.

Sus creaciones y su última colección para Otoño/invierno 2010 es simplemente, fascinante.

Piel, música, texturas, alta costura... ¿ quieres más ? MIRA!

sBt- Usted se graduó en la Glasgow School of Art en 2003 y fué premiado como Mejor Diseño de vestuario 2004.. ¿ Que sentiste cuando recibió el premio ?

DA- Me sentí feliz y abrumado. Fúé el comienzo de mi carrera, por lo que significó mucho. Al hacer un trabajo que otros eligen para recompensar su expresión, es fantástico.

sBt- Usted vive en Copenaghe y desarollas tu trabajo allí.. ¿ Que te inspira esta ciudad para ti y tus creaciones ?

DA-Me siento muy inspirado por la gente, especialmente los músicos. En mi círculo hay varios musicos muy talentosos de aquí.. todos tenemos algo especial. Ellos me inspiran cada X tiempo. A parte, viajo mucho, especialmente a Hong Kong.. sobre todo sus gentes y expresiones facilaes me inspiran muchisimo más que otros lugares.

sBt- Creo que eres un amante de la arquitectura, la música... ¿ Que inspiración puede tomar de ellos ?

DA- Los músicos tienens una gran pasión por lo que hacen y son muy personales en su expresión.

Cuando escriben una canción, a menudo de una forma u otra, lo toman de sus vidas, que para mi, ejercen un gran respeto y siempre se exponen a traves de su trabajo.

Los músicos juegan un papel en el que se debe ser creativo y me encanta que se aga eso.

De un modo u otro me encuentro en un papel diferente cuando diseño. La arquitectura para mi es fantástica y emocionante. Puedo pasar horas estudiando edificios y sus detalles.

sBt- Sus desfiles son impresionantes y diferentes.. Por ejemplo, al desfilar las mujeres con la ropa de hombre, cuando se hacen grandes performances...¿ Crees que al presentar una collección es importante crear un ambiente diferente y que la forma de que llegue a los demás sea como si se encontrasen en otro mundo.. aunque sea durante 20 minutos?

DA- Creo que es importante crear un universo donde la gente se sienta seducida. Da igual si es negativo o positivo. Por supuesto es importante en termino de ventas, que a la gente le guste el diseño y como artista me gusta que la gente tome una posición de lo que ve.

Pienso mucho en como presentar el producto y como mejor puede entrar a los demás.

sBt- Veo borcados, clavos metalicos, chaquetas de cuero y trajes, chalecos y guantes transparentes en la colección a/w 2010.. ¿ Puedes decirme por qué estos materiales, que buscas con esta collection, que expresas? Creo que es increible la collection.

DA- Era importante para mi en la coleccion mostrar el resultado de la independencia. Eso no tendría que depender de otros. Hago hincapié en la que la masculinidad se mezcle con lo femenino. En los tejios es la misma idea, esa mezcla.. y pensar en los detalles pequeños y simples en la colección de una manera repetitiva.

sBt- ¿ Estás pensando presetar tu trabajo en otras semanas de la moda diferente a la de Copenhague? Tal vez en París o Milan durante la semana de moda de hombre?

DA- Presento colección en París y Berlín durantes sus semanas de la moda. Esto ha sido durante las dos últimas temporadas.

sBt- Para terminar, ¿ Etsas trabajando en tu próxima coleccion? ¿ Puedes decirme algo sobre ella? :)

DA- La nueva colección ya está terminada. Puedo decir que es muy hermosa, en negro y donde la mujer volverá a desfilar de nuevo. :-)

Como el título dice, Blanco y Negro es algo realmente importante para David Andersen. Como se puede leer en la última pregunta, la próxima colección es en negro y hermosa, donde las mujeres conquistan las pasarelas de nuevo.

La colección de la que hablé con David en la entrevista es la de Otoño/invierno 2010. Tal vez es una de mis preferidas para hombre en 2010 y donde los chicos adquieren otro estatus en la moda.

La colección para 2009 estaba a oscuras y tenía un poco de misteria. El negro vuelve a ganar la batalla a los colores y la noche es su mejor aliado.

Otra cara especial de David Andersen son los diseños tan especiales y maravilloso de alta costura que hace.

Vestidos y Trajes con un glamour para que los que lo llevan puestos. Paris hilton es una de esas personas que ama el trabajo de David Andersen.
